An exciting young Australian artist
Dana is an Australian jazz vocalist, arranger, educator and Fulbright Scholar from Devonport, Tasmania.
After receiving her foundational vocal training under Maria Lurighi at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, Dana was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to undertake postgraduate study in Jazz Voice at the renowned Jacobs School of Music, where she graduated in 2026. Together, these experiences shaped an artist who brings both technical excellence and creative curiosity to every aspect of her work.
While best known as a vocalist, Dana is equally passionate about arranging, composing and education. Her work is driven by a belief that singers should be complete musicians, with the skills to understand, create and communicate music at the highest level. This philosophy underpins both her performances and her educational work.
As an artist, Dana is expanding the role of the jazz vocalist beyond the microphone. She is currently writing and arranging her debut album, an ambitious project that will become the world’s first jazz big band album arranged entirely by a vocalist.
